Best 3 Inch Heels to Wear to Work

The low to mid heel is my new long lost friend. I must admit, I’m very guilty of having only 2 options when it comes to shoes; sky high stilettos or flats.

However, I’m happy to announce my perspective has changed. I have a work conference coming up and was looking for a new pair or shoes. I don’t want to wear a super high heel to the conference and I also don’t want to wear a flat, so this weekend I started looking for mid height heels and I feel I like I just hit the shoe jackpot!

The first thing I think of when I see a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes is Luxury. My second thought is E-X-P-E-N-S-I-V-E! When I was working as a sales associate at Neiman’s, I remember selling a pair of Christian Louboutins that were $2,500. At that time, I had just graduated from college and $2,500 was my rent many times over so yea that was a no go for me!

Christian Louboutin Embraces All Skin Tones

As if we needed another reason to love Christian Louboutin. I personally appreciate anyone who can celebrate the diverse beauty of women around the world. As a woman of color, the term “nude” has always been a little offense to me.

According to Webster nude is defined as “having a color that matches the wearers skin tone.” Well I guess that means nude is not for me. None of the “nude” pantyhose, lipsticks, shoes or clothes even closely resemble the color of my skin.

The Best Way to Protect Christian Louboutins

Protect Your Pumps is the best way to Protect Christian Louboutin shoes.

One of the most popular questions we receive is about using Protect Your Pumps on Christian Louboutin shoes.

I pride myself on being honest and transparent with customers and potential customers about our product. In the past we’ve had some issues with Louboutins. A small number of women had issues with peeling and when this happened I felt devastated. Protect Your Pumps means the world to me and I’m here to help not hurt.

However, we’ve found a resolution to the issue and I’m so happy about that.

Best Bridal & Wedding Shoe Designers

By Kathryn / January 12, 2016

I’m the maid of honor in my best friends upcoming wedding which is proving to be lots of fun. I am trusted with supporting and loving her through this very exciting time in her life. In addition to just being a good friend, I also am working on some fun projects; like planning the bachelorette party (whoot whoot) and helping her shop for the big day.

A few months ago I helped her pick out the most beautiful wedding dress (the one she picked is a stunner, she is going to shut it down in this dress) and up next we will be checking out shoes.

Here is my 2 cents on the whole wedding shoe market.

10 Best Suede Over the Knee Boots

By Kathryn / January 7, 2016

We can’t doge winter forever. However, just because it’s here doesn’t mean that our shoe collections have to suffer. What is the perfect shoe-solution to combat the winter blues? Suede Over The Knee Boots! This shoe can be dressed up or down, and can really be the perfect wow to a just ok outfit. So you’re wearing a pair of plain leggings? Who Cares! If you add a pair of hot over the knee boots this kind of blah outfit will take you to the next level.

Its no secret designer knee high boots can be really expensive. (some $2,000 +To be honest its probably the main reason I don’t have a closet full of them.  But the fact that they can be a bit pricey makes perfect sense. You are talking about having a lot of shoe with lots of material. So what if you can’t afford a closet full of them, one quality pair you love But a good pair is a great   footwear investment that will last you for many years to come.

I’ve put together a list of my favorite over the knee boots. Most of these boots are very versatile. They are all really cute. My philosophy on shoe shopping is simple; Quality designer shoes are worth it but you don’t always have to pay the highest price for great shoes. If you’re not working with a crazy designer shoe budget, half of these over the knee boots are under $500.

Let me know your thoughts on over the knee boots and which pair are your favorite.

Meet Jess Lively The Business Woman Helping Others Design a Life With Intention

By Kathryn / October 4, 2013

About 2 years ago I was sitting in my apartment in Chicago surfing the net when I stumbled across an event that was happening the next day called “Business in the City”. This was a roundtable discussion for small business owners that would be led by business owner Jess Constable. (She is Jess Lively now at the time she wasn’t married) I was fairly new to the Chicago area and was also a new business owner, so this seemed like a good fit. I figured I didn’t have anything to lose and decided to attend. That was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
